These heat shrinkable protection sleeves provide excellent reinforcement to the splice joint, ensuring long-term reliability and low signal loss in fiber optic communication networks. During optical fiber fusion splicing, two optical fibers are permanently joined end-to-end using a high-temperature electric arc generated by a fusion splicer. The objective is to create a seamless connection that allows light signals to pass through with minimal attenuation, reflection, or scattering. After splicing, the fiber joint is protected using a fusion splice protection sleeve to maintain the strength and integrity of the optical fiber cable.
