Japanese saws cut wood with pulling force, not pushing force. It can cut accurately with less effort.
Two different blades on a saw. One is for cutting along the grain called "rip cut", and the other is for cutting across the grain, called "cross cut".
"SUIZAN stays sharp, delivering pro results for all. Easy to use and offers a finish masters would be proud of."
- Miyamoto, Katsuyama Construction
The point of using a Japanese saw is to "cut with pulling force". Instead of pushing hard to cut, apply a light force when pulling and relax when pushing, so that you can cut smoothly without getting tired even after long hours of use. Feel and enjoy SUIZAN's authentic Japanese saws.
